Coming from the stylishly lackadaisical Portland Oregon, NYC is always popping with fashion inspiration. From the 6ft glamazons, Givenchy wearing teeny boppers, and straight out of Vogue ghetto girls, there are no excuses not to look one’s best, no matter the weather.
For style ideas and imagery I happened upon a great coffee table book titled, Style Like U. They take you inside the closets of the fashion world’s most eccentric and worldly.
I agree that if so privileged, our clothing attire is an art form, a living, moving, grooving masterpiece. An outward expression of laughter and pizzazz, juiciness, and joy.
The reason I had the pleasure of visiting NYC this past week was to visit my sister for her one and only 21st birthday. Needless to say the debauchery was timeless, but swizzle sticks aside, the subways of the city never ceased to impress the senses. Here are two examples of people doing their art form simply for the love of it.
